3. Earning on empowr
3.1 What is the official currency of empowr?
In empowr, the official currency is empowr coins.
^
3.2 What are pre-coins and how do I earn them?
Think of empowr pre-coins as coins that are in their birthing process.
You earn pre-coins by:
- Success Coaching
- You earn based on a variety of performance metrics, with 30% of those earnings immediately being converted to coins
- Posting
- You earn based on the number of “Likes” you receive
^
3.3 What can I do with my pre-coins?
Your pre-coins are utilized for primarily 2 things:
- Winning coins from the wheel
- When you hit your Daily Goal, if you see the wheel, you might win $X in empowr pre-coins, win $X in coins, or win $X in marketplace prizes (your “available to spend in the marketplace” balance)
- If you win coins or marketplace prizes, the wheel will take $X of your pre-coins and, in return, give you $X in coins or marketplace prizes that you can use immediately
- If a citizen doesn't have enough pre-coins to convert to coins (or marketplace prizes), the wheel will convert 100% of the pre-coins they have available
- Increasing your Power Level
- Your Power Level will determine a wide range of benefits, including earning more pre-coins so that you have more to convert on the wheel. For that reason, you’ll want to make sure you have a lot of pre-coins at all times
^
3.4 How do I earn coins?
You earn coins by:
- Selling
- You keep 85% of the final sales price when the buyer marks the item as “Item Received”
- All marketplace items can be purchased with coins, marketplace prizes from the wheel and PayPal.
- Spinning the mission wheel
- When you hit your Daily Goal, the mission wheel will pop up
- Based on the amount of your 30-day mission points, prizes on the wheel will be paid in pre-coins, coins or marketplace prizes specifically meant to be spent in the marketplace
- Inviting new empowr citizens and helping them succeed
- When you successfully help your invitees earn 100+ mission points, you earn 100 coins, as well as bonus coins when you reach certain milestones. Learn more
^
3.5 What can I do with my coins?
empowr coins can be used to buy anything in the marketplace and can also be transferred to your external blockchain wallet once they have become fully matured.
Learn how to have as little as 0-day maturity on the coins you earn
^
3.6 How can I transfer out my empowr coins?
You can transfer out 100% of your coins once they are fully matured. Coin maturation is usually 90 days (after the end of the month in which the Coins were earned) and can be reduced to as few as 0 days.

^
3.7 Does it cost anything to earn by posting or listing?
No. It is free to earn by posting content and listing products and services on empowr.
^
3.8 Why do some people earn more from posting than me?
The higher your power level and mission role, the more you will earn from posting.
Additionally, not all shares are not created equal. The more value an empowr citizen brings to the empowr economy, the greater the value of their shares.
You earn many times more for every share you receive based on the 30-day mission points of the person who shared your post. The more 30-day mission points someone has, the more you earn.
That means that you should place much higher value on the time and attention (and shares) of the empowr citizens with the most 30-day mission points.
^
3.9 How do I earn coins by success coaching?
Success Coaches earn a % of their students’ earnings (paid by empowr at no cost to students).
In addition, SCs can earn bonuses for high performance in the areas of:
- Communication Quality
- Student Success
- Student Happiness
- Speed (in responding to students)
SC Leaders (those that managed other success coaches) earn Leadership Bonuses of up to 50% of what their team (the coaches that report to them) earn.
All SC earnings are paid in pre-coins with 30% converting to coins immediately.
Those (30%) coins will also go through Maturation with the following terms:
Maturation will be from 90-days to as little as 0-days, based on each coach’s personal power level, overall performance, and performance improvement rate – just like all other citizens.
^
3.10 How do I earn coins by marketing?
When you invite others to empowr they’ll get a free coin upon joining, and you’ll get credit. You can see your invitees in your
My Mission Points page – and communicate with them.
When your invitees earn mission points, you earn matching mission points. Of course, the mission wheel uses your mission points to determine your prize amounts – paid in coin.
For a limited time, you now also earn 100 coins per new citizen you invite to empowr.
In addition to 100 coins per citizen, the following bonuses will be added at each milestone:
If you invite this many new citizens, you earn this additional bonus (in coins):
- 3 invites = 300 bonus coins
- 6 invites = 600 bonus coins
- 12 invites = 2,000 bonus coins
- 25 invites = 5,000 bonus coins
- 50 invites = 12,500 bonus coins
- 100 invites = 25,000 bonus coins
- 250 invites = 75,000 bonus coins
- 500 invites = 125,000 bonus coins
- 1,000 invites = 250,000 bonus coins
That’s 595,400 Coins you’ll earn for inviting each batch of 1,000 new citizens.
Important terms:
- Only invitees that become productive count towards bonuses.
- IE: They must earn 100 mission points by March 15
- All Coins earned will match your Founder Coin vesting schedule
- No limit to how many Coins you can earn
- IE: You’ll earn an additional 100 Coins for each invite over 1,000
^
3.11 What is maturation and why is it important?
In empowr everyone's coins must mature for 90 days before they can cash them out. Coins start maturing on the last day of the month you received them.
Ever wonder why?
The reason is that the maturation process gives YOU an opportunity to sell things to other empowr citizens.
Coins must mature before they can be cashed out.
As a result, almost everyone has funds that they can use RIGHT NOW to buy things from YOU, and often with just one click.
That makes empowr an AMAZING place for anyone that wants to sell products or services; or that wants to generate profits by helping OTHERS sell products or services.
In other words, empowr is an economy.
So, empowr's invention - this process of maturation enables anyone trying to sell a product or service, to easily find customers that are ready and able to buy from them.
^
3.12 What can I do to get my coins to mature in less than 90 days?
When your coins are maturing, they’ll be held in your empowr off-chain wallet – not on the blockchain – to save blockchain transaction fees.
Before they are mature, your coins can be spent anywhere within empowr or merchants that accept them.
When your coins mature, you can leave them in your empowr off-chain wallet or transfer them to your on-chain wallet at any time.
Your Maturation will be reduced if you:
1. Are in the Top Power Levels:
- 2nd highest Power Color (currently all of Teal) = 60-day
- 4th highest single level (currently Sky Basic) = 45-day
- 3rd highest single level (currently Sky 1st degree) = 30-day
- 2nd highest single level (currently Sky 2nd degree) = 15-day
- Single highest power level (currently Sky Star) = 0-day
2. Are in the top 50% of performers (based on 30-day Mission Points):
- 50-60% = 60-day
- 60-70% = 45-day
- 70-80% = 30-day
- 80-90% = 15-day
- 90%+ = 0-day
3. Are consistently improving (as measured by hitting your Mission Goal twice or more in a row):
- 2 months in a row = 60-day
- 3 in a row = 45-day
- 4 in a row = 30-day
- 5 in a row = 15-day
- 6 in a row = 0-day
^
3.13 How are my coins spent?
Anytime you make any purchase on empowr, the system spends your most matured coins first.

^
5.14 How many tags can I use?
You can use up to 6 tags per post.
^
6. Ads
6.1 What are ads and how do you set a budget?
Each time you create a new blog or marketplace listing, you’ll have the ability to create an ad for that item.
If you wish to target more traffic to a specific ad/listing (in addition to the free views you receive based on your mission role), you can set a daily budget between $0.25/day to $100/day:
If you already have ads that you’d like to set a daily budget for, you can do that by going to your “
My Ads” page.
^
6.2 Why set a daily budget for your ads?
By setting a daily budget on ads for your blogs, your blogs will be specifically targeted to people interested in what you’re writing about (based on the search terms you set for the blog) – which means highly engaged people “Liking” and sharing your posts.
The more “Likes” you receive, the more you earn from your posts, so creating ads for your blogs may be the easiest way to increase your earnings.
Want to see ads based on your interests? Simply update your interests
here
By setting a daily budget for your marketplace listings, your ads will be shown more often to the very same people that you close loops with, which means the likelihood that your listings are sold is much higher as the people closest to you are the most interested in what you’re selling.
^
6.3 How do I turn off any ads or hide them from my list of ads?
If you’ve set a daily budget for any ad, you can edit your daily budget to $0 by visiting your “
My Ads” page, and clicking on the ad you wish to edit. And if your My Ads page is getting too busy (with too many ads) you can “hide” any of them from being shown to you in your My Ads page – by clicking “Hide this Ad” link:

7. Buying and Selling
7.1 How can I earn in the empowr marketplace?
The empowr marketplace is the e-commerce hub of empowr where citizens can buy and sell products, services, and premium blog posts among each other with their empowr earnings.
^
7.2 What is Sponsoring?
When you purchase a listing in the empowr marketplace, you can either keep the item for yourself or Sponsor (resell) it to someone else.
Through Sponsoring, you can sell other people’s products without owning the product yourself. This enables all empowr citizens the ability to earn from selling without spending any money upfront.
When selling a product, service or Premium Blog package, you’ll notice you can allow it to be Sponsored.
So how does Sponsoring work and benefit the seller?
Anytime that someone purchases a new product, service, or Premium Blog package, they will have the opportunity to (a) keep the item for themselves, or (b) Sponsor (resell) the listing and turn right back around and put the product up for sale.
Allowing a listing to be Sponsored increases the earning potential for that listing.
- The seller gets the full earnings from their initial sale
- And the seller additionally gets 5% of subsequent sales by Sponsors
- That means you can earn over 100% of the final price of your product by having others Sponsor it!
The seller has the option to allow Sponsoring for the products and services sold, and can give the Sponsor up to 60 days to resell the product if it is Sponsored.
What’s the benefit to the Sponsor?
- The Sponsor earns a full eighty-five percent (85%) of the resale price!
- Sponsoring boosts the empowr economy by allowing citizens without their own products or services to earn.
^
7.3 How much do sponsors and sellers earn?
Both sponsors and sellers earn 85% of the final price of every sale.
For sponsored listings, there is no limit to how many times it can be sponsored within the time limit set by the original seller, and the original seller receives 5% of every sponsored sale. That means it is very possible for an original seller to earn over 100% of the final sales price of their initial sale over the course of time as people are sponsoring the seller’s listing.
^
7.4 Can I list blogs or digital content in the empowr marketplace?
Yes, you can.
Please note: If you are listing digital content (blogs, e-books, recipes, downloadable music, etc.) it MUST be listed as a Premium Blog.
All digital content that is NOT listed as Premium Blog, will be rejected for listing - which may affect your ability to hit your daily goal.
^
7.5 Can I earn commission on other people’s sales?
The empowr platform has an internal commission system which allows citizens to promote not only their own but other people’s sales as well. You can earn commissions off every sale. This can be done three different ways:
1. Ads – If you create an ad for a product listing, when someone clicks the ad and then purchases the product, you will earn a percentage of the purchase price – even if the product is not your own!
2. Blogs –If you create a blog post and insert a link to a product listing, when someone clicks the link and then purchases the product, you will earn a percentage of the purchase price – again even if the product is not your own!
3. Bidding or Sharing – If you bid on an auction, or share any product listing, it will be shared with all your friends and fans and be displayed on your profile. This means that your actions can potentially be shared with their friends and fans and so on! If someone else purchases that listing by clicking on the shared story, you will earn 1% of the purchase price.
^
7.6 How do I pause/restart a marketplace listing?
From the Homepage, select the “Marketplace” link.
Click the “I’m Selling” button. Click on the listing you wish to pause. Press the “Continue” button in the “Edit Listing” box.
On the next screen, check the box at the bottom that says “Save as Draft, don’t publish”. Check the box to agree to Terms and Conditions. Select “Continue”.
Your listing status should now be “Paused”. To restart, simply un-check the box that says “Save as Draft, don’t publish” and agree to Terms and Conditions and select “Continue”.
^
7.7 What does “promoting” mean and how do I do it?
Bidding, Liking, Commenting, and Reposting are “promoting”. Anyone can be a promoter! Every time that you bid, like, comment, or repost a marketplace listing not only are you promoting but you earn 1% of the final sales price if someone purchases the product because of it!
In addition, if someone else bids, likes, comments, or reposts something you are promoting and that leads to a sale, they can earn 1% of the final sales price too!
^
7.8 If the sponsor doesn’t pay for the product or service, what happens to the original seller?
The seller still gets paid if the sponsor can sell it to someone else. In fact, the seller may even earn more than if they had not had a sponsor!
The seller chooses whether to allow buyers to sponsor and sets a time limit up to 60 days after the original sale. There is no limit to how many times a listing can be sponsored within the time limit set by the original seller, and the original seller receives 5% of every sponsored sale.
That means it is very possible to earn over 100% of the final sales price over the course of time people are sponsoring the seller’s listing!
^
7.9 What are buyer requirements?
Thanks to the Pay Now $0 feature, empowr citizens can bid on and sponsor items, and pay only after they win the auction or sell the sponsored listing.
As a seller in the empowr marketplace, setting your buyer requirements lets you to allow only certain citizens to bid on or Sponsor your listings, unless they pay upfront. Changing the default buyer requirements may reduce the chances of you selling, so use with caution.
^
7.10 How do I know I'll receive the products I purchase?
On empowr, buyers can be confident they will receive the items they purchased because of the buyer protection features that are in place.
Every seller on empowr has a rating based on the feedback they’ve received from previous sales. As a result, sellers are expected to provide the best experience for their customers, as future buyers are more likely to purchase from a highly rated seller, over one with poor customer feedback.
Once a sale is made, the amount of that purchase is marked as pending until the buyer is happy with the outcome of the sale, and has marked the item as received.
If, for whatever reason, a buyer is not happy with their purchase, they have the ability to get a refund by disputing the purchase. The dispute is then mediated between the buyer and seller’s Success Coaches to ensure a fair outcome is achieved.
^
7.11 How do I post a fixed price or auction item to sell?
From the Homepage, select the “Marketplace” link.
Click on “create new service or product” link. Select whether you are selling a Product, Service, or Blog.
Select whether to use the auction or fixed Price format. Name your listing and upload at least one photo. Give an accurate and honest description so the buyer knows exactly what they will receive. Choose a category and press “Continue”.
For fixed price listings, set your price. For auctions, set a minimum bid. Choose length of auction and shipping location and costs. Include all shipping details.

Click the box indicating that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and then press “Continue”. Click “Submit”.
^
7.13 How do I get empowr earnings by selling subscriptions?
You can sell any product or service on a recurring monthly charge rather than a one-time sale. Selling subscriptions to premium blog content is a good option for those that create good content. Citizens can turn their blog posts into “premium blog posts” that other citizens must pay to access.
^
7.14 How do I dispute a Marketplace purchase or sale?
From the home page, click “marketplace” on the left. Click the “I’ve Bought” link if you are disputing a purchase, or the “I’ve Sold” link if you are disputing a sale. Locate the item and select the “Actions” drop down box. Select “Dispute this Transaction”. A dispute box will pop up. ^
8. Economics
8.1 How will empowr coins be allocated?
In March of 2018, empowr will conduct a token distribution event that will offer for sale 400 million units out of a 500 million-unit total supply of empowr. The proceeds of the token distribution event will be used to fund empowr operations.
As of the conclusion of the sale, the distributed empowr coins will constitute the entirety of the available liquid supply. Four (4) months following the completion of the token distribution event, beginning in August 2018, the smart contract will release to the empowr compensation engine a shrinking number of coins monthly to aid primarily with user mining to generate demand for the coin and platform, with the size of each month’s release being 1% smaller than the release the month before, in perpetuity.
In August 2018, 100 million units will be released, and in each subsequent month an amount of coins will be released equal to exactly 1% less than the previous month, with the monthly release number heading towards zero.
The coins that are released will operate under the purview of empowr’s democratically elected president, congress and senate, operating within the legal framework as clarified by the empowr constitution, locked under the empowr compensation engine schema, and used strategically to grow the ecosystem and fund the operations of the company. The allocation will used for three purposes: to administer the token supply and empowr compensation engine, for marketing, and for operational costs.
^
8.2 Does the empowr coin have an inflationary policy?
Starting in 2020, once a year, on or around January 10th, the smart contract will increase the available liquid supply of coins by 3% to aid with lost coins and as an inflationary measure to balance the economy. Inflationary coins will be released to the empowr compensation engine, also to be utilized as prescribed above.
^
8.3 What determines the price of the empowr coin?
The price of the empowr coin is based on the supply and demand of the token, determined by buyers and sellers on the exchanges. It is similar to how the price of a commodity like gold is determined.
8.4 How can I transfer my coins to my blockchain wallet?
^
8.5 Is there a limit to how many founder coins I can transfer to my blockchain wallet?
^
8.6 Is there a transaction fee to transfer coins to blockchain wallet?
^
8.7 Which blockchain wallet can we use to transfer coins?
^
8.8 Will I get a 1099 from empowr?
No, you are not being paid by empowr. It is your responsibility to determine what, if any, taxes apply to the transactions you make. Further, it is your responsibility to report and remit the correct tax to the appropriate tax authority. By creating an account, you agree that empowr is not responsible for determining whether taxes apply to your transactions or for collecting, reporting, withholding, or remitting any taxes arising from any empowr transactions.
^
9. Circle of Trust
9.1 What is the Circle of Trust?
empowr launched the “Circle of Trust” as way for users to create and build 2-way (reciprocal) trusted relationships with other citizens. The more trusted relationships that you build and maintain, the more your Circle of Trust expands. In order to build relationships, you must “close the loop” with others by either sharing their posts or bidding/buying the items they are selling or sponsoring.
Your Circle of Trust is made up with those empowr citizens who you have built reciprocal relationships with. These are the people that you trust most, because you continuously help each other to earn.
^
9.2 How does the Circle of Trust work?
You earn when your posts are “Liked”.
Your earnings increase when more people “Like” your posts, so you want your posts shared as much as possible.
The more people you "close the loop" with, the more people “Like” your posts (and the more you earn).
^
9.3 What is "closing the loop" and how do I do it?
"Closing the loop" with someone means “Liking” some of their posts (which helps them earn).
To close the loop with someone, follow the instructions inside the loop at the top of their profile:
The more people you "close the loop" with, the more people will “Like” your posts and the more you earn.
^
9.4 How often is my profile shown to others?
Your profile is only presented to others if you have posted recently. If you don't post anything new, you'll stop being presented to anyone. So ABP (Always Be Posting) to make sure you are always being presented to others.
Once you’re presented to others, you won’t be presented again until you’ve closed the loop back with them. That means that until you close the loop with someone, you won't be shown to them again. So try to close the loop with each person presented before moving on.
You'll notice people shown to you will get closer and closer to you geographically as more people join empowr. This will enable you to meet more of them in-person. It will also enable you to receive services from them (paying with your empowr earnings) and totally wipe out shipping costs when you buy products from them.
^
9.5 What is my "People I Trust" page?
empowr conveniently keeps track of your Circle of Trust for you, which can be found on your “People I Trust” page.
Here, you’re shown the people that you’re building reciprocal (2-way) trusted relationships with as well as their distance from you, how much trust you’ve built so far, and the number of transactions that you’ve completed with them.
The first graph displays the number of trusted relationships (to be included, both of you must have built trust (i.e. “closed the loop”) with the other within the most recent 30 days) you’ve built over a 30-day period.
The second graph displays how much trust you have built with the people in those relationships, and the third graph displays the average distance between you, and the relationships that you’ve built.
The purpose of your “People I Trust” page is to help you better organize the trust that you’re building, and monitor the progress of all of your relationships.
The easiest way to increase the size of your network is to Close the Loop with as many people as possible.
Additionally, when you share, bid, or buy from someone you are helping to close the loop with someone. When you take these actions, you are increasing the chance that the other person will reciprocate these actions with you. Thus, you will Close the Loop with each other!
The more you close the loop with others, the larger your Circle of Trust size and motivation.
Summary: The more people you "close the loop" with, the more people will “Like” your posts and the more you earn.

10. Mission Points, Mission Wheel and Daily Goal
10.1 What are mission points and how do you earn them?
Mission points are a way for empowr to track how much value a citizen is providing the community. By earning mission points, the prizes (cash and shopping) on the mission wheel grow all the way up to a maximum of $100,000 per wheel slot.
You earn mission points by:
- Sell: The greater your sales and the more customers you serve, the more points you earn. You earn 2 mission points for every $1 in sales you achieve when your customers click "Item (or service) received" on the products and services you list.
- Show: Invite a friend and show them how empowr works. You earn matching points: 1 point for each point they earn
- Coach: Become a success coach and earn 2 points for every $1 in coaching bonus you receive
- PayPal: Pay for anything in empowr using your PayPal - earn 2 points for each $1 you spend
- Step up: Take on any non-volunteer mission role
^
10.2 What’s the difference between 30-day and all-time mission points?
The Mission Wheel (shopping and cashing out) are based on your 30-day mission points. That’s how many mission points you’ve earned in the most recent 30 days. Your all-time mission points are the points you’ve earned since you joined empowr.
^
10.3 Is there a maximum number of mission points I can earn?
There is no limit!
^
10.4 How long do I earn matching mission points from my friends?
You earn matching mission points from your friends for their first 180 days as an empowr citizen.
^
10.5 What is the mission points leaderboard?
The leaderboard allows both individual empowr citizens and empowr countries to compare how well they are doing in a variety of ways:
empowr citizens can see how well they are doing (based on 30-day mission points):
- In their geographic country
- In the empowr pre-countries they are a citizen of
- Worldwide
Citizens can also see how their own geographic country and empowr countries are doing based on:
- Total 30-day mission points of all citizens in those countries
- Average 30-day mission points of all citizens in those countries
^
10.6 What is the mission wheel?
When you hit your Daily Goal, the Mission Wheel pops up. Spin the wheel it to win coins and pre-coins.
Prizes on the wheel will be paid in coins, as well as specialized coins that can be utilized for shopping in the empowr marketplace.
The wheel delivers millions of coins to empowr citizens monthly.
The size of the prizes on the wheel are determined by:
A. The number of Mission Points you’ve earned in the last 30 days
B. Your Mission Role – between 2 and 10 times larger based on your Mission Role
C. Your Power Level
^
10.7 What's the point of the Daily Goal?
The Daily Goal was introduced as a means of leveling the playing field for everyone, and to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to earn daily.
Hitting your Daily Goal is easy — simply post, share, and list. When you fill up the bars — you’ve hit your Daily Goal!
Each day you hit your Daily Goal is a new chance to spin the Mission Wheel (to earn coins and shopping) so try to hit your Daily Goal as often as you can.
^
10.8 I listed something, but my daily listing goal isn't being counted. Why?
Only products will be counted toward your Daily Goal.
Listing Premium Blogs or services will NOT count toward your Daily Goal, but they will help you to earn!
What is my Mission Performance?
When you see someone’s profile photo, you’ll see a ring around it and a blue arrow pointing a specific part of the ring.
Here’s what the Mission Performance ring communicates:
At the start of each month, you’ll have a Mission Goal set based on removing 10% of the distance between the citizen, and the top performers. The blue arrow on the outside of your photo will point to where you need to get to by the end of the month to hit your goal.
As you earn mission points, your ring will begin to fill. As you reach certain milestones to your goal, the ring will begin to change colors to very clearly show your performance to others. For example, if the ring’s color is:
White = 0% of your goal (no 30-day mission points)
Grey = below 25% of your goal (must have at least 1 30-day mission point)
Light Yellow = below 50% of your goal
Orange = below 75% of your goal
Light Blue = below 100% of your goal
Light Green = 100%+ of your goal
By filling your ring all the way to the end, you will have reached the same number of mission points as the top 50 empowr citizens.
Everyone’s Mission Goal will be set on the last day of each month, and will remain the same all month – until the last day of the following month (when it is reset again).
Example:
For our example, let’s say that the top performers have an average of, 1,000 mission points (that they earned in the last 30 days) and you earned 550 points in the last 30 days.
You would have 450 points (1,000 – 550 = 450) away from the top performers.
Therefore, your Mission Goal for the month will be to get 10% closer to the top performers – removing 10% of the 450 point difference (= 45 points).
Therefore:
At the end of the month, your ring will be 55% full - since you’ll have 55% of the mission points of the top performers.
Your Mission Goal for next month will be to remove 10% of the distance between himself and the top performers, as follows:
- 10% of the 450 point difference between him and the top performers = 45 points
- Therefore, his Mission Goal will be to achieve 595 (30-day) Mission Points – which is 59.5% of the top performers.
^
10.9 What are Mission Roles?
empowr’s mission is to empower people by enabling opportunity, hope and influence.
With each action you take within empowr, you’re helping to build the empowr economy, moving it closer to the successful achievement of its mission.
When you first join empowr, you’re automatically an empowr volunteer. If you like, you can choose to take on a larger role such as:
- Mission Supporter
- Mission Ambassador
- Mission Visionary
- Mission Pioneer
- Mission Founder
The benefits of Mission Roles include:
- larger daily earnings from your posts
- bonus daily share and post limits
- free advertising for your posts
In addition, the prizes on the Mission Wheel automatically grow much larger with your Mission Role -- from two times larger (Mission Supporter) all the way up to ten times larger (Mission Founder)!
To take on a larger Mission Role, simply click or drag the “Daily Earnings” slider at the top center of any profile.
^
10.10 Can I get a discount on my mission role purchase if I decide to upgrade?
When upgrading your mission role, you now receive a credit for the unused portion of your most recent mission role.
For example, if you purchased the Visionary role for $29.99 and have only used it for 10 days, you will have a credit of $19.99 applied to any other mission role purchase you wish.
You can apply it to any role; and to the monthly or yearly option. If you choose the yearly option, you receive 3 months free (a 25% discount).
This credit will automatically be visible to you at the time of purchase for any other mission role:

11. Power User and Power Levels
11.1 What is a Power User and what are the benefits?
Power Users are citizens that excel at earning. As you earn on empowr, you become eligible for higher Power Levels and can earn even more.
How?
The higher Power Level you are, the wider audience you reach with each photo, blog, video, ad, service and sale. Since you are reaching more people, there is a higher likelihood that they will like and share your posts, and bid and buy your products and services.
Power Users also:
- Earn more daily from their posts
- Get more free ads for their listings
- Win larger prizes on the wheel
- Get more shares, posts and listings
- Earn more from everything they sell
- Receive more attention and respect
- Pay less on everything they buy
- Can create more communities
- Earn from transporting when they reach the Basic Green Power Level
- Earn from coaching when they reach the Orange Star Power Level
- Have less than 90-day maturity on the coins you’ve earned
The higher your power level, the greater each of the above benefits becomes.
With your Earnings Accelerator, the system will automatically move you up to the next highest Power Level as your profits allow.
As your power level goes up, so do your daily earnings. Your results will vary greatly based on the quality and frequency of your posts and the size of your circle of trust.
^
11.2 What is the Earnings Accelerator?
On empowr, the fastest way to get ahead is with Power User subscriptions.
Power Users get more attention — which means more views and more earnings.
To help citizens’ maximize their earnings at an increasing rate, the Earnings Accelerator was designed to upgrade their Power Level as soon as their profits allow.
By posting each day with your earnings accelerator on, you can quickly reach the top Power Levels in a matter of months – at little to no out-of-pocket cost to you since your Power User upgrades are funded completely from your profits.
You can control your Earnings Accelerator through your Power User settings.
^
11.3 How do I purchase a Power User subscription?
On empowr, citizens have the freedom to purchase Power User subscriptions to increase their fan base and earnings potential. When you start, you’re automatically granted a free Basic Orange Power Level and are then upgraded to the next level as your profits allow.
If you’d like to upgrade faster, you can purchase a Power User subscription from your Power User page.
To access your Power User page, simply click “Get More Power” on the left navigation bar.
There are a number of Power Levels to choose from. You can compare the benefits and costs associated with each and then purchase the level that works best for you.

12. Blockchain
12.1 What is blockchain and what are the benefits?
Blockchain is a relatively simple technology.
A good way to think of blockchain is as a block of information – a database – that instead of being recorded in one place (such as in one company’s database or server) is recorded and copied many times on many, many different computers around the world.
In that manner, the data being recorded is decentralized – with no single computer acting as ‘the’ authority. If one or more of those computers where the data is stored is somehow taken down, the data remains accessible from all the other computers.
This result is called high availability since the data will always be accessible from one or more of the computers that are still active. As more computers participate, it becomes near-impossible for anyone – even the government of any country -- to take down all the computers where the data is stored, producing an incredibly reliable way to store data.
Each block of data contains a link – kind of like a link in a metal chain – that connects the current block of data to the block that was created right before it. Hence the name ‘blockchain’.
Once recorded, the data in any block cannot be altered without altering all the other blocks that are chained together, because it would require participation of all the computers in the network.
This means that, as more computers join the network, it becomes near-impossible for anyone to alter the data, as original copies of that data (the blocks) are stored on all the other computers.
This approach makes the data very resistant to modification – a concept called immutability -- which makes blockchain a safe and secure solution for important records that should not be altered, such as financial transactions or anything else you want to ensure won’t be changed by anyone.
In addition, the data in the block can be encrypted – meaning scrambled mathematically so that only someone with the password (called a key) can unscramble (or decrypt) the data. Of course, encryption makes the contents of the block (the data) even more secure.
Up to now, the world has been accustomed to centralized data – such as the data saved in a bank’s database -- which is very easy to manipulate or change by whoever controls the data, or vulnerable to hackers that might find a way to access it.
In a centralized approach, as a customer you are required to trust the person, company or entity that controls the data; you must believe that they will successfully secure it from hackers, and also trust that they, themselves, will not do anything with it that you may not be happy about.
But with blockchain, since all the data is decentralized -- copied in many places –the use of the data is transparent to everyone involved. No centralized “official” copy exists, and no user or computer is trusted more than any other – which actually builds a greater sense of trust around the data because no one entity or computer can decide, on its own, to change or manipulate that data.
The result? With blockchain, humanity appears to have a way to store data that will be always accessible and unable to be manipulated or changed by anyone, not even the best of hackers or most powerful of governments and how the data is being treated or manipulated is transparent to everyone, creating a strong degree of trust. It can even be encrypted so that it is difficult to view the specific contents of the block, making it even more safe and secure.
^
12.2 What is cryptocurrency and what are the benefits?
Cryptocurrency is electronic money -- also known as virtual currency -- that is encrypted so that only someone with the key (password) can access it.
Cryptocurrency can be deployed on top of blockchain, so it gains the benefits of blockchain discussed above -- such as becoming decentralized, always accessible, more secure, transparent and trusted.
There are many different cryptocurrencies, the most famous of which is bitcoin.
Bitcoin, created in 2009, was the first decentralized cryptocurrency, although it was not the first virtual currency.
You – the empowr community -- invented the first virtual currency a few years before that, as evidenced by the patents awarded to empowr by the United States government for the invention.
You can
view the official patent here in Google’s patent search tool.
^
12.3 Why aren’t all empowr coin transactions on the blockchain?
The Ethereum network currently operates on a proof-of-work blockchain and is therefore limited in throughput, though future versions of Ethereum will work toward enhanced throughput and scalability. The current average confirmation time, or block time, is approximately 17 seconds. For technical reasons, the block time will marginally increase.
Currently, the number of daily transactions is higher than 100,000; this volume is expected to continue increasing as new applications and users continue to enter the Ethereum ecosystem. The current throughput of Ethereum is approximately 8.5 transactions per second, or approximately 740,000 daily transactions. Over time, the Ethereum network can also adjust to higher volume conditions for additional throughput.
There are two other issues that suggest that a purely on-chain architecture may not be optimal at the outset. The first issue is that Ethereum transaction confirmation times result in significantly delayed responsiveness than users typically expect from consumer applications. The second issue is that the Ethereum blockchain requires fees to be paid for every transaction. Fees are paid in Ether cryptocurrency, creating an adoption barrier for the average user.
Given these barriers, empowr will initially implement a semi-centralized hybrid on-chain and off-chain transaction service for scalable interactions with the empowr cryptocurrency. At the core, the transactions in empowr will be settled on the Ethereum blockchain. However, the empowr will host a centralized off-chain ledger with an API available to all digital service partners.
This will improve user experience due to latency, avoid network fees when transacting between users, and avoid stress on the public network due to large transaction volumes.
^
12.4 How does the empowr compensation engine work?
empowr will oversee the reserve of uncirculated currency with the mandate of promoting adoption and growth of the empowr ecosystem. Currency will be secured in a smart contract, allocated to the empowr compensation engine, and introduced into circulation as periodic rewards.
This hybrid solution creates a semi-centralized system in which end users will enjoy a standard user experience insulated from some of the complexity of blockchain systems. However, this approach also has the drawbacks typical of a centralized system, such as having to rely on trust between participants. In the long term, the empowr will move to migrate the transactional infrastructure to a fully decentralized system while retaining a low friction user experience

^
13.4 How can I create my own empowr country?
To establish your own empowr country, there are several steps that need to be taken.
The first step is to create a “pre-country”.
The primary power of pre-countries is to give country founders a platform to discuss their beliefs and values with other empowr citizens. In that manner, empowr citizens can decide if they wish to join that pre-country.
As a pre-country, you can begin discussing important topics and issues, and policies that you’d like to implement as a country.
Once a pre-country has had enough people join (more on this soon), they will shift from their pre-country status into full empowr country status – which will open-up a wide-range of controls for the citizens of that country.
To create a pre-country, simply visit the
Communities page, select “empowr country”, and then click “Create your empowr country”
Then, fill in the following information information:
- Country name
- What’s your country’s purpose or mission?
- What are the shared beliefs and core values?
- Why should people join your country?
- Do new citizens need to be approved before joining your country?
- By selecting “Yes” for this option, the country’s founders will need to manually approve all citizens from joining by adding them as friends. This functionality will be updated further soon.
- List your country’s founders (add up to 8 people)
Note: Founders will have the ability to log into the country account and have access to many of the controls that countries will have. Choose your founders wisely.
Always do your best to make sure that the information you provide is clear and detailed, so that potential citizens are more likely to join your country. When you’ve added the information, click “Submit”
You can then review all the information you submitted to ensure that it’s accurate. Once you’re ready, click “Create Pre-Country”, and your pre-country will be created.
13.5 How can I access my empowr country account as a founder?
As a founder of a country (or pre-country) you will have the option to switch back and forth between your account, and your country’s account, by either clicking the link at the top of your profile page (while signed into your country)…
… or by going to the
Communities page, clicking on “Communities I Admin” and clicking on your country (while signed into your personal account).
^
13.6 How can I join a country or pre-country?
Citizens can join countries (or pre-countries) by simply clicking “Join country” on the country’s profile.
There is no limit to the number of pre-countries that any empowr citizen can join, however, once one of those pre-countries has established full empowr country status, each citizen of that pre-country will become an official citizen of that country and removed from any other pre-countries they had previously joined.
^
13.7 How does a pre-country become a country?
The empowr pre-countries that have the most 30-day mission points (based on the total 30-day mission points of their citizens) will be the first eligible to become official empowr countries and receive a growing number of features and controls to self-govern.
With literally hundreds of empowr pre-countries to join, many citizens will decide which country they want to join, based on how productive they are, exactly like what happens with real countries (the countries with the highest Gross Domestic Product figures have the most people wanting to go there).
So, if your pre-country is among the most productive (as measured by its the Mission Points its citizens are generating) it will benefit from both an abundance of resources as well as an abundance of citizens wanting to join it.

^
14.4 Is there a way to make my “Likes” count for more?
The more value an empowr citizen brings to the empowr economy, the greater the value of their shares.
You earn many times more for every share you receive based on the 30-day mission points of the person who shared your post. The more 30-day mission points someone has, the more you earn.
That means that you should place much higher value on the time and attention (and shares) of the empowr citizens with the most 30-day mission points.
^
14.5 What are ratings used for in empowr?
empowr citizens rate each other as sellers (and buyers), product sharers (and product users) and transporters (and transportees).
To get you started on the right foot, all new empowr citizens are rated at 5 stars.
From there, you should be doing everything you can to take good care of your customers to maintain a very high rating.
By doing that, you, your profile and your products and services will be seen many times more in the marketplace and feed stories.
And as a customer, you should be doing everything possible to keep the sellers, sharers and transporters highly satisfied.
Why? Buyers with low ratings are blocked from most marketplace opportunities.
^
